Humeral Head

The humeral head allograft is used for resurfacing cartilage defects in the shoulder with mature hyaline cartilage. In some instances, Talus or Femoral Condyle allografts have also been used to restore the cartilage surface of the humeral head.

Allograft Highlights

  • Humeral Head allografts can be radiographically size-matched to the individual patient
  • Talus allografts are readily available and can be substituted for Humeral Head allografts due to similar radius of curvature
