Handling and Preparation

1.

All preparation should be performed using aseptic technique.

2.

Tissue in Peel Pouch Packaging: Graft will arrive in 2 pouches. The inner most pouch is sterile.

3.

Using aseptic technique, peel outer pouch, and introduce innermost pouch onto sterile field.

4.

To thaw, place the innermost pouch in a sterile basin on a sterile field.

5.

Immerse inner pouch completely in warm, sterile isotonic solution. The recommended thawing time is 30 to 60 minutes, or until thawed, depending upon the size of the allograft.

6.

ALLOW ALLOGRAFT TO COMPLETELY THAW BEFORE HANDLING!
Inadequate reconstitution may result in allograft breakage or fracture. Do not handle or manipulate soft tissue allografts until thawing is complete.

NOTE: Meniscus is triple bagged.
