Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have a foundation of accounting experience and is looking to advance their career.  The Staff Accountant is responsible for the research, reconciliation, and preparation of financial records for JRF Ortho including reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparation of various monthly journal entries, and assisting in the month-end close process.  Additional duties include maintaining the Accounts Payable (AP) function and ensuring that all information input is detailed and accurate, proper authorization for all disbursements is documented, and documentation is filed for ease of access.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable by accurately entering all invoices from vendors and suppliers.   Reconcile recovery/processing fees due to members.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with month-end closing and corporate accounting processes relating to expense classification, journal entries, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Assist with monthly inventory reconciliations of inventory accounts and related impairment calculations.
  • Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset spreadsheet and related depreciation calculations, as well as write-offs, sales, and disposals.
  • Assist with the preparation of all schedules and supporting information required for year-end audit procedures.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years’ general accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel


  • Experience in Medical Device, Distribution, and/or Non-Profit Industries
  • Experience working within an ERP system

Compensation and Benefits

  • $55-65k Annually
  • Quarterly and annual bonus
  • Health, Dental and Vision Insurance with generous employer contribution
  • 30 days of paid time off, including 20 days of PTO and 10 paid company holidays
  • Generous 401(k) matching program
  • Hybrid work environment with average of 1 day in office per week once fully trained.
