Position Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the generation and review of daily customer invoices, application of customer payments, month end reconciliation of customer/general ledger accounts and collection calls on delinquent accounts.  Additional responsibilities include assistance in the Accounts Payable function along with month end close.  This is a unique opportunity where you will have the ability to influence the direction of JRF in addition to performing the duties above. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  1. Full cycle accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, cash receipts, customer statements and follow up on past due balances.
  2. ​Investigation and resolution of discrepancies in customer accounts.
  3. Assist with month end close and year end audit tasks as required.
  4. Assist the Sr. Accountant with Accounts payable functions as required.
  5. Actively participate in projects to increase efficiency within the department and organization.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1-3 years' experience in AR, collections, AP and bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems, specifically Epicor
  • Self-motivated with a desire to make an impact and learn our business
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

SUMMARY: JRF Ortho (JRFORTHO.org) is seeking a Business Coordinator responsible for inventory and data management of JRF allografts including but not limited to osteochondral allografts (OCA), meniscus, and research tissue. The Business Coordinator will serve as a backup to the Senior Operations Analyst on an as needed basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Inventory Management 

  • Daily receipt of new inventory into Epicor 
  • Perform daily bin transfers of inventory  
  • Maintain real time inventory availability 
  • Master data maintenance in ERP system (Epicor) with high accuracy (maintain fresh dates, expired grafts, non-release, etc.) 
  • Pickup, store, manage and distribute research tissue 

Business Coordination 

  • Allocation of allografts 
  • Collaborate with the ASC team 
  • Provide backup coverage for the Senior Operations Analyst  
  • Track and trend inventory data 

Administrative 

  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies. 
  • Compile and present data at weekly business meeting 
  • Provide quick turnaround analysis for Senior Management on a routine basis.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in science or business-related field.
    • In lieu of degree, High School Diploma and 4 years of tissue banking experience 
  • 1 year of data entry, data analysis, or tissue banking experience 
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite 

Preferred:  

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in science or business-related field. 
  • Specialized understanding of biology, processing techniques and distribution models 
  • Experience working with SOPs 
  • Experience working with CRM/ERP software (i.e. Epicor) 
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations: Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS)

Summary: The Allograft Service Coordinator-Satellite (ASC-Satellite) is responsible for processing, coordinating and shipping allograft orders by working with sales representatives, surgeons and hospital staff (“Customers”) on a National basis. The ASC-Satellite is also responsible for maintaining office equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
  • In lieu of degree, High School Diploma and at least 5 years Customer Service and/or Distribution experience.
  • 3 years Customer Service and/or Distribution experience.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

  • Experience in production, manufacturing, or operations in biomedical/bioscience industry.
  • Experience working with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience in healthcare environment such as doctor’s office or hospital.
  • Computer skills preferred: CRM/ERP software (e.g. Epicor)
  • Certificates, licenses and registration: Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Order Management

  • Receives and processes time-sensitive allograft orders.
  • Discusses alternative allograft solutions with Customers as needed.
  • Communicates graft status to Customers in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates shipment of released allografts. Ensures order status is continually maintained (active/on-hold/cancelled).

Customer Care

  • Responds to inquiries and new orders in a timely manner (e.g. phone calls, emails).
  • Under the supervision of the Satellite Lead, provides education to Customers concerning technical and scientific questions regarding the manufacturing or use of the product.
  • Under the supervision of the Satellite Lead, informs Customers about new products and ensures all allograft needs are being met. Is available for a rotating on-call schedule.

Office-Satellite specific

  • Perform daily freezer checks, maintenance and coordinate preventive tasks along with scheduled calibrations on equipment.
  • Packing and shipping of orders from the San Leandro location.
  • Receiving incoming deliveries.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order of warehouse location.
  • Perform routine inventory cycle counts for finished goods to accurately maintain and ensure complete traceability of inventory. Maintain daily and monthly expired tissue.

Administrative

  • Assists with billing and collection efforts, complaints, product returns, and maintaining customer records.
  • Adheres to and promotes proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.

SUMMARY: The Allograft Coordinator I is responsible for processing and coordinating allograft orders by working with surgeons and their staff, sales representatives and hospital personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives and processes allograft orders.
  • Sizes patient films with supervision.
  • Answers phones in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates shipment of allografts.
  • Provides all customer service needs for assigned territory.
  • Enters Community Tissue Services (CTS) orders into Epicor/OMS.
  • Adheres to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in biology, or anatomy related field, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
  • Computer skills required: experience with MS Office Suite strongly preferred
  • 1 year of Customer Service, Sales or Marketing Experience
  • In lieu of degree, High School Diploma and 2 years’ experience in Tissue Bank Processing or Health Care Related Customer Service
  • Experience in production, manufacturing or operations in biomedical/bioscience industry
  • Experience with tissue banking
  • Experience in healthcare environment such as a doctor’s office or hospital
