Purpose: To show that osteochondral allograft (OCA) transplantation has emerged as a dominant treatment option for OCD lesions because it can accurately restore the entire osteochondral unit especially since there is significant bone involvement.
Summary: This article describes the preferred surgical approach for the treatment of large, uncontained OCD lesions of the medial femoral condyle using a fresh OCA and the Arthrex BioUni Instrumentation System.
