Purpose: This study examines the clinical outcomes of Osteochondral Allograft (OCA) transplantation after failed autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI) for large chondral defects of the knee, compared to a matched cohort undergoing primary OCA cartilage repair.
Summary:
JRF Ortho Take Away: This data highlights the versatility of OCAs in revising large chondral defects post failed ACI. Clinical outcomes of OCA revision following failed ACI are comparable to primary OCA repairs, underscoring their value for surgeons in cases of failed ACI.
