Double Strand Tendon (Aseptic)

Laxity in joints caused by ligament tears does not need to permanently restrict a patients’ activity. Whether in the ankle, knee or shoulder stabilization of joints can be regained by reconstructing torn ligaments with double strand tendons.  With a variety of lengths and diameters, double strand allograft tendons can be used to reconstruct cruciate ligaments in the knee, and stabilize ankle and shoulder joints following traumatic tears. Tendon allografts remain an excellent repair option for any ligament repair procedure where multiple reconstructions have failed or where tendon ruptures or tears are present.

Available double strand tendons include:

  • Anterior tibialis (Diameter: 8mm-12mm (folded) Length: 23cm-32cm)
  • Posterior tibialis (Diameter: 8mm-12mm (folded) Length: 23cm-32cm)
  • Semitendinosus (Diameter: 5mm-8.5mm (folded) Length: 23cm-30cm)
  • Gracilis (Diameter: 6mm-7.5mm (folded) Length: 23cm-32cm)
  • Peroneous longus (Diameter: 7mm-10mm (folded) Length: 23cm-36cm)
