Our Team

Melissa is a detail oriented, hardworking, and self-described “old soul.” She strives to make others happy and is determined in anything she sets her mind to. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way” is a quote she lives by and applies when faced with any challenge. These qualities make her a great addition to the JRF Ortho team.

She joined us after working 6 years at Northeast Ohio’s Organ Procurement Organization, where she held several different roles within the tissue department. While holding an associate’s degree in surgical technology from Stautzenberger College, Melissa also proudly served 8 years in the Army Reserves as a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) specialist. The military is where she learned the true meaning of teamwork, strong work ethic, and problem solving.

As a resident of Ohio, Melissa enjoys all the seasons, especially fall. In her free time, you will most likely catch her watching reruns of The Golden Girls or spending time with her husband and their young son. As a family they enjoy doing anything from kayaking, exploring parks, attending sporting events, or just simply staying home and watching F1 racing or having family game and movie nights. Melissa also enjoys hosting and being given any reason to put together a delicious spread or charcuterie board!
